PEOPLE PRACTISING PUDDLE JUMPING TECHNIQUE AT WICKSTEED PARK, KETTERING, NORTHANTS, ON TUESDAY 29TH OCT IN TIME FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS BEING HELD ON WEDNESDAY(OCT 30).DESPITE THE RAIN THE ORGANISERS HAVE HAD TO MAKE MAN MADE PUDDLES. Despite all the rain after yesterday's storm, organisers have had to MAKE PUDDLES for the first World Puddle Jumping Championships. Many parts of Britain have been hit by flash floods after the worst storm for more than a decade. But organisers have had to make PLASTIC puddles at Wicksteed Park in Kettering, Northamptonshire, where the contest is taking place tomorrow (Wed). People of all ages got in some practice today, ahead of the big event for which they will be joined by competitors from across the UK. "It rained a lot yesterday but the puddles weren't deep enough for the competition, so we've had to make our own, " said a spokesman for the park. "It's rather ironic when parts of the country are knee-deep under water."
