Joan Collins Rocked the Emmys Red Carpet at the Age of 90 Like a True Fashion Icon
The 75th Annual Primetime Emmys were all about a nostalgic look at classic television — from All in the Family to Ally McBeal. But there was one Dynasty star there to remind everyone that not only is she thriving at the age of 90, but she is also a true fashion icon.
Joan Collins stepped on the red carpet and had everyone gasping at her stunning Jenny Packham gown. The icy blue dress was the perfect pick for Hollywood royalty. The sparkly design glistened from every angle and the soft, feminine sleeves gave an ethereal effect. It’s almost as if she was floating down the red carpet. Collins’ accessories also added to her glamorous appearance with bold chandelier earrings and satin gloves. She added volume to her gorgeous brunette hair and chose a bold red lip for the drama — it was perfect!

Collins also rocked the Peacock Theater stage on Monday night when she presented the Emmy for Outstanding Limited Series or Anthology Series alongside Taraji P. Henson. In the audience to support her was her 58-year-old husband, Percy Gibson, who stood proudly by her all evening long. And their 32-year age gap doesn’t bug her one bit either — she has nothing but praise for her husband of almost 22 years. “I’m so lucky,” she told Saga magazine in 2022. “He takes care of everything. He takes care of my children and all our finances. He’s the love of my life. It’s a great marriage, a great relationship.”
The Hollywood legend also has a secret to her youthful glow in this season of life, claiming, “I’ve had nothing done.” She explained to The Guardian, “I couldn’t do all that. First of all, I’m needle-phobic. It was my mother who told me to moisturize and use night cream.” When it comes to fashion tips, what’s old will eventually become new again. “You know, they say if you have something and you haven’t worn it for a year, get rid of it? I don’t believe in that,” she shared with The Sunday Times, while revealing she still had wardrobe from her years on Dynasty. “Oh, when I was doing Dynasty, I would go to Paris sometimes for Dior. I knew [Gianni] Versace very well. Versace gifted me with several beautiful things that I still have.”
Collins is obviously doing everything right because she was one of the showstoppers at the Emmys and she’s proving that 90 never looked better.
