In 2023, we witnessed a shift in fashion towards a sleeker, monochromatic aesthetic that became known as “quiet luxury”. This trend dominated both the runways of the Big Four and the wardrobes of A-list celebrities. Notably, Gwyneth Paltrow was among the stars who embraced this understated elegance, favoring shades of beige and cream. However, as we step into the new year, Gwyneth is back to exploring a more vibrant colour palette.

Attending the LA premiere of the new Netflix series The Brothers Sun in support of her husband, Brad Falchuk, the actor and Goop founder made a bold statement by wearing a crimson ensemble. Her outfit consisted of a plunging jersey top and a matching wool crepe maxi skirt, both part of Cong Tri’s spring 2024 collection. To accentuate her waist, Gwyneth chose a matching leather belt, paired with striking red Paris Texas sling-back heels and eye-catching gold chandelier earrings.

In 1996, the actor famously made an appearance on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards wearing a velvet suit in the same shade of crimson, designed by Tom Ford for Gucci’s fall 1996 collection. She later revisited this iconic look at Gucci’s Hollywood Love Parade show in 2021, commemorating the brand’s 100th anniversary, in an interpretation by previous creative director Alessandro Michele. Given her history, it’s no surprise to see her once again wearing her favorite color.
