Actress Emma Samms suffers six-month hell of Covid fatigue

A former Dynasty actress and partner of the BBC newsreader Simon McCoy has spoken about being one of the growing number of “long Covid” sufferers with debilitating symptoms for months without end.

Emma Samms, who played the heiress Fallon Carrington Colby in the 1980s US soap opera, tested positive for Covid-19 in March. Despite never being admitted to hospital, she has had “panic-inducing levels of fatigue” since.

Doctors do not know how to treat the condition, nicknamed “long Covid”, which is increasingly being recognised in medical circles.
