I bought this vanda last year and by the description and trophy it had just won at a show I believed the name to be correct.

have a look at the pictures

hi Roy,

I attached a few pictures where the pictures will tell the story
I regret to inform you that according to my knowledge that it's
not V. bensonii but probably V. tricolor or one of it's varieties
I attached some pictures for comparison.
I know in Thailand they have occasionally flasks of V. bensonii
x self or sib crosses available.
hope you're not to disappointed about it not being V. bensonii
V. tricolor is equally beautiful and has a gorgeous spice scented fragrance.
the only drawback is , it becomes about 3/4 times the size of a V. bensonii
Happy orchid growing from Northern Thailand
cliokchi ;)

cliokchi, thanks for you reply. I am disappointed BUT looking at the pics you included, which I have on file for reference, I believed that it wasn't a bensonii either. The flower I posted measures 40mm which is way less than the tricolor I flower. It also has a magnificent perfume, not sure if bensonii does.
