I really love the growth and shape patterns of these. I am trying to find the bluest one or the best looking one. Which one should I get.

Hands down, the Oregon Tort is the bluest, IMO. Depending on the angle at which you view mine, it can look a tad purple sometimes...

Oregon tort is a "deeper" blue, Cali is a "brighter" and often times green tips.

My cali is completely purple with green base in my tank. I wouldn't even use the term blue to describe it.

If you want the rich blue like you see on this forum (the reply to thread buttons and whatnot) it's got to be the oregon tort.

I think maybe the closest you'll find to that (which on my screen is pretty much a navy blue) is a hoeksemai perhaps?

my oregon actually is green on the inside with blue tips and green and blue polyps

Sounds like a cali tort. I have the cali and it looks like what you are describing. Although the polyps on mine are more purple. Great coral.

That's gorgeous....but my oregon tort frag, before I tried to kill it with an iodide overdose, was nearly a solid navy blue. Now it's....recovering

I like both. It really depends on whether you want to see a lot of growth, because a small Oregon tort frag will generally take a good year to put on size. The Cali tort grows much faster and is easier to keep as well as considerably cheaper. The Palmer's blue mille is an extremely blue coral and it grows much faster than the Oregon tort. ;]

The Oregon is the "Bluest" but the Cali is an awesome coral as well. I think every SPS tank should have both.:)
