HOW DO I MAKE MONEY DOING THIS? - Presented by VOYAGER
Tuesday, November 2 | 5pm PT

Freelancing can be a great way to make money as a filmmaker, but how often do you hear about how to balance passion projects and paid gigs from someone who's experienced recognition for both? Join us for this session with the creative force behind VOYAGER, the multiple award-winning production company co-founded by NFFTY alumni Charles Frank and Andrew Hutcheson. This frank and honest discussion covers all the highs and lows of growing your own production company. How did they balance commercial and branded content productions while carving out time to create their feature length documentary SOMEWHERE WITH NO BRIDGES? This session will also touch on the challenges inherent with working for bigger clients and owning less of the rights to your work, and how to draw clear lines that respect client/artist relationships.
