Pamela Anderson Fan Shares Key to Achieving Her Iconic 90s Bun at Home

Pamela Anderson is the only icon you should turn to for messy 90s bun inspiration, and a fan has shared how to achieve the look in a few surprisingly easy moves.

The Baywatch star has been at the center of up-do mood boards since she rose to fame, and for good reason: no one does it quite like Pamela.

While the hairstyle appears complex and intricate at first glance, all it takes is a hair band and a couple of bobby pins.

Influencer Jazmina Portillo, known as @jazvnessa, demonstrated her quick and simple way to achieve Anderson's effortless up-do on TikTok.

The viral clip, shared on March 8, has gained over 1.3 million views and 181,000 likes, proving the trend is as popular as ever, and it's not just Anderson who keeps running back to the style over 30 years since she first made it popular.

Portillo, who had curled her hair using rollers prior to filming, begins by using a sectioning comb to separate the front sections from the bulk of her locks.

Next, after pulling the remaining hair back into a high ponytail, she secures the elastic by twisting once before pulling the hair halfway back through the loop.

Portillo then holds the end of her hair at the back of her neck, twisting the bun around so the ends are now at the crown of her head, before securing the hair into place with bobby pins.

Because of how the ponytail is tied, the excess hair at the end sits atop the head, leaving loose curls around the bun shape created in the center for an effortless celebrity-inspired look.

To ensure the curls are falling from the bun how she wants, Portillo then takes a few strands from the sections she left out earlier and pulls them back, pinning them into the bun.

The result of Portillo's easy styling trick? A stunning nostalgic hairstyle we're sure Anderson herself would be proud of!

What Do the Comments Say?

Many were keen to try the style for themselves for a special occasion, as one user said: "It's giving B'day Hair ahhhh."

Another added: "I'm so doing this for prom."

Those with thin hair were worried they wouldn't be able to recreate the look for themselves, as one said, "Crying in short hair."

"First step: have enough hair for this," added another.

"My three strands of hair could never," commented a third.
