Visiting This Canadian National Park Is Like Taking A Trip Through The Fjords Of Norway
Grab your bucket list, Canada! 😍
If you thought you'd have to catch a flight to Norway to see incredible glacial fjords, think again. Gros Morne National Park is just as impressive as Scandinavia and you don't even need to leave Canada to explore it!
Located in Newfoundland and Labrador, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the perfect place to wander along coastal pathways and explore the incredible sheer-walled gorge of Western Brook Pond.
This incredible beauty spot spans over 1,800 square kilometres and while hiking you'll spot deep, glacial fjords that could rival the ones in Norway.
If Gros Morne wasn't already bucket list-worthy, hiking the Tablelands will give you the opportunity to walk over ancient sea floor and preserved ocean avalanches, too. Pretty impressive, right?
In addition to fjords, nature-lovers will also be able to spot glacial valleys, waterfalls and even crystal clear lakes while hiking through this breathtaking landscape.
If it wasn't for the moose and caribou wandering the area, you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd woken up in Middle Earth — or at least on the set of a Lord of the Rings movie!
