Derek Zoolander: 15 times he was the first man of fashion
Forget about David Gandy, Brad Kroenig and Tyson Beckford, the male model who has captured our hearts above all others is Derek Zoolander.
Funny, caring, courageous, sucessful and really, really ridiculously good looking, Zoolander first seized our attention back in 2001 when he rose out of model retirement like a phoenix from the ashes to stop corrupt fashion executives from assassinating the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Since then, his rise has been unstoppable, he stole the show when he hit the catwalk for Valentino, has graced countless magazine covers and fronted numerous campaigns. We want our boyfriends to dress like him, in fact we wish Derek Zoolander was our boyfriend.
