Wedding Kucinich, Allen unite in marriage

Jackie Kucinich and Jared L. Allen exchanged wedding vows in an Oct. 22 wedding held at the home of the bride’s father in Washington, D.C.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra Kucinich-Horn of Columbus and U.S. Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich of Cleveland, and the stepdaughter of E. Edward Horn and Elizabeth Kucinich.

The groom is the son of Dr. Edward A. Allen of Fitchburg, Mass.

Sara Fetgatter was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Berlin and Kelly McCormick.

Matthew Allen served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Allen and David Allen.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and reside in Washington, D.C.

The bride is a graduate of American University and is a national political reporter for USA Today: Washington D.C.

The groom holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. He is an assistant vice president for strategic communications at FRTI Consulting, a public-affairs firm in Washington, D.C.
