GRIFFITH PARK – Know your vultures. That was the theme at the L.A. Zoo on Saturday — International Vulture Awareness Day.

It was a day to showcase the bird — from its scavenging personality to what Zoo officials say is the animal’s importance to the health of ecosystems around the world.
