She is the former Dynasty star and real-life daughter of a princess who once described her marriage as ‘a fairytale’.
But last night actress Catherine Oxenberg, daughter of Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, revealed she is splitting from her action-hero husband Casper Van Dien after 16 years of marriage.
Van Dien, 46, star of the cult sci-fi classic Starship Troopers, has filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.

Oxenberg, 54, is best known for playing man-eating Amanda Carrington – the daughter of Joan Collins’s character Alexis – in the 1980s soap.
Oxenberg was born in New York but raised in London and first shot to fame playing Princess Diana in a 1982 movie – Diana was a family friend.
Oxenberg’s mother Elizabeth is also a second cousin of Prince Charles.
