Overview: The JBL On Stage Micro portable audio system is designed specifically for the Apple iPod digital music player. The iPod is docked directly to the unit, allowing you to easily play your music files. It can also be used with other portable MP3 or CD players, desktop computers and laptops via the Audio input and USB port

Sound System: The JBL On Stage Micro loudspeaker dock combines many proprietary technologies to provide the highest quality sound, astonishing bass and clear accurate sound from any direction. The dual 1" Odyssey drivers (transducers), powered by a compact 15 watt x 2-channel amplifier, deliver accurate high frequencies while capable of low-frequency extension of four-octaves with a frequency range of 70-20kHz. The Slipstream port design minimizes boundary layer separation, producing high-output bass with low-distortion. The JBL system equalization is computer-optimized to provide a rich, complete soundstage over a wide range of listening positions. The unit's proprietary optimized compression technology ensures clear, accurate sound at high output levels

iPod Compatibility: The On Stage Micro features a slot on the center top of the unit with the proprietary iPod dock connector. There are two iPod adapters from which to choose, allowing you to fit your particular iPod model perfectly into the docking slot. Many iPods come with a docking insert for you to use with this unit. In addition to playback and control of your iPod, the JBL On Stage Micro will charge your iPod when docked. This unit supports the following iPods.

Wireless Remote Control: The JBL On Stage Micro IR remote has several modes of operation. The music mode allows you to control your iPod's volume, change tracks, fast forward and fast reverse. The navigation mode allows you to access menus on your iPod just as if you were controlling the unit itself. You can search your music, watch your slideshows, and find and play your videos.

Auxiliary Input: The unit's 3.5mm auxiliary input allows you to connect an external portable audio source such as a portable MP3 player other than a iPod. A 3.5mm stereo audio cable is required for this connection.

USB Connector: The JBL system features a USB Port to connect your PC to the JBL unit via an optional USB cable (not supplied). This allows the iPod to synchronize to your iTunes and charge at the same time.

Audio Output: The On Stage Micro contains a stereo minijack (3.5mm) audio output jack to output signal to another audio unit with line-level input.

Power Supply: The unit is powered by the supplied AC adapter or by four "AAA" batteries. The battery compartment is found on the bottom of the unit. Four "fresh" "AAA" batteries provide up to 24 hours of continuous play at normal listening levels.

Battery Saving Feature: In the battery-only mode, the JBL On Stage Micro will turn off to save battery power when muted or paused for longer than ten minutes.

Non-Slip Feet: The bottom of the On Stage Micro uses wide surface-gripping rubber pads to provide a stable platform on most surfaces.
