Stock Photo - May 31, 1967 - Rehearsal For Chimpanzee's Tea Party At The Zoo. A rehearsal was held today for the famous 'Chimpanzee 'Tea Party' at the London Zoo. The party consists or three girls and a boy 6 year old 'Winnie', 4 year old 'Tina', 4-year old 'Jane' and 5-year old 'Rastus'. This was the last time that Head Keeper William (Bill) Peckett conducted the rehearsal, for he retires on 30th. of June after 43 years service at the Zoo. When the weather is fine, the Chimps, 'Tea Party will take place on weekdays and Sundays at 4p.m. on the Tea Party Lawn, from tomorrow, 1st June. When it is top cold or wet for the young chimpanzees to be taken out of doors, however, the party will take place at the same time in the chimps Den in the Children's Zoo.
