Narahari Acharya can speak, take meal

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader and former Minister Narahari Acharya is gradually recuperating.

Leader Acharya who had suffered a brain hemorrhage following high blood pressure has been undergoing treatment at Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital in Kathmandu since February 9.

With improvements, he can make short conversations and take his meal, shared his aide Ram Chandra Tiwari.

He is undergoing a regular physiotherapy after complaining a problem in right leg and hand. He still needs to stay at hospital for treatment.

As leader Acharya may not be able to take part in the NC general convention, his candidacy for any post is still uncertain despite pressure from cadres across the country, Ghimire added.

On February 9, he had suffered a brain stroke after paying homage to his party President Sushil Koirala.
