Alstroemeria 'Casablanca'

These lily-like flowers are from Peru, and are the longest lasting of cut flowers. Collectors of these exotic flowering plants claim that 'Casablanca' is the closest to being white, but do have some colorful markings inside. Here in coastal California, Alstromerias will grow and remain green plants over the winter, but if you live in the colder regions, you may want to try planting them in containers to bring into a cool garden room for the winter. This one grows 3-4 ft tall and spreads wide. Hardy to zone 8.
