As it turns out, the 50-year-old actress had her ex-husband and the helmer of her Underworld saga, Len Wiseman, “bummed” by her performance in one of her movies with Adam Sandler, 2006’s Click. If anything, Beckinsale’s immaculate portrayal of Donna Newman in the movie had her former hubby so utterly impacted that he couldn’t even hide his jealousy after watching her in it!

Len Wiseman was Beyond Jealous After Watching Kate Beckinsale in Click

Back when Click was released in 2006, many were absolutely stunned by Kate Beckinsale‘s performance in it and were in love with her character, Donna Newman, to the core. But out of all the people who truly adored her in the film, there was one person who was affected the most.

This “one person” was none other than the Van Helsing actress’ husband at the time, Len Wiseman. As it turns out, Beckinsale’s strong and truly immaculate portrayal of the fan-favorite character in the movie impacted Wiseman so deeply that he was actually jealous of Michael Newman’s character.

As per what the Pearl Harbor star shared during an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (via HDaFicionado on YouTube):

“My husband was bummed when he saw the movie. He was like, ‘She wears little short shorts. She has no hormones. She’s cool.'”

Apparently, judging from his review, Beckinsale is a lot different in real life than the person she played onscreen!

In fact, Wiseman even started complaining about how he wanted to have a wife like the character she played in the movie! As she continued to share with Conan O’Brien:

“[My husband said] ‘Where’s that wife? I want that wife. […] Like, why did I get you?'”

Well, that reaction from Wiseman is only understandable after one truly acquaints themselves with the character that Beckinsale played in her 2006 masterpiece with Adam Sandler!

While her ex-husband’s reaction makes it evident enough that Beckinsale’s character was just a bit too ideal of a wife that every guy could ever ask for, being super understanding and all, the now 50-year-old actress herself admitted that she greatly enjoyed making the movie.

As she laughingly admitted about her and Sandler’s characters in the movie during an interview with the Dark Horizon:

“I thoroughly enjoyed that, as I didn’t have to take him home, didn’t have to yell at him about going and playing golf or all of that stuff that would probably really bug me in real life if I was married to him.”

In fact, that wasn’t all, considering how the Total Recall actress also admitted that she was “kind of sad” when the shoot came to an end, bringing an end to her onscreen marriage with Sandler’s Michael Newman as well.

She said:

“I had the sort of total movie pleasure of everything apart from anything leaking or gross or leaving me on my own or any of that, so it was perfect, a blissful marriage and I was really kind of sad when it was over.”

For what it’s worth, we think it is safe to say that Beckinsale wasn’t the only one who felt this way when the movie ended, for every single person who watched the epic piece of work from 2006 most certainly also felt the same way!
