WTF :o SUPERB MODEL!! Damn just in 12 days such a magnificent model, how the **** did you do that??? The model is absolutely beautifull man! Great work! Especially the rims and doors are fabulous! Could you write a tutorial abou how to create your own car? I created rims lately but I just can’t create the car…
As said before, Superb model! The animation is cool too.
btw, I wanted to create a 1969 Dodge Charger GT, but when I looked at all the images of models you have created a also say your Charger, and I was stunned of amazement. Such a beautifull model!
Could you please explain how you start when you create sucha car? You have created severeal vehicles and they are all very very beautifull, you even was in the gallerie in my Blender 2.3 guide! You have made many cars so could you spend some time in explaining how you do it? I (and I am sure many others) could appreciate that very very much!
Keep up creating beautifull cars. (p.s. if you don’t know what car to create next, make a nice Porsche Boxter or a TransAm with such a Felix on the hood 8)
The thing that bothers me about it is the single seat in the front cockpit. It is exactly the way the McLaren is. Maybe you should try something different?
The car looks very cool, but the design itself does not really work for me. I think the front is to short and the rear too heavy, but everyone’s taste is different ;).
The world’s sky texture does not fit to the environment. I think neon lights would fit better.
Sweet! I was hoping that you would enter that contest, and that you’d share your work with us! I always look forward to seeing your stuff. Visually stunning render, as always!
As to the design, I tend to agree with thoro and BgDM on that. I would only suggest that you think about putting some “flow lines” into the design. I’d have to see it with the doors shut to be sure, but the “continuity” from front to rear doesn’t seem to flow in a pleasing way. Perhaps adding some creases that run the length of the car could help. If you look at a lot of current designs on the road today, you’ll notice that designers use creases to let the reflection off the paint job help with showing contour lines that define its shape and form (this is hard to explain in writing… I guess just observe some designs out there and see how this is done and how it affects the overall look of the car.) A good example of this practice is the recent American car, the Mercury Cougar, although weak in many ways, the design makes great use of this practice (see picture)
or
You can see how the designer placed subtle creases in the body panels to suggest a visual flow across the design. (If they were to drop a V8 with rear-wheel-drive into this puppy, it’d be sweet! But noooo… we’ve got lawyers to keep that (fun) silliness from happening!)
----[pause]-----------
I’m watching the animation now (awesome, btw) and with the doors closed, I’m seeing that this is more true than I thot… Keep working at it, tho! Great stuff so far!
Wow… that’s gorgeous. :o
I can’t really imagine what could be improve on this …
The only thing that disturbe me a little is that the car is really “low” and could only run on very smooth roads. But well… maybe that’s the way they look on F1, I don’t remember
excelent work speedtiti.
This really looks like a pro job, like the rest of the cars you made.
Man you really progressed when it comes to modelling cars.
hey great work man, though i agree with BgDM about the one seated-ness like the McLaren, which kinda puts me off it, i think it would look great with 2 seats though…and the tyres look at little strange to me, but that might be what you want
awesome work dewd I had the feeling you were gonna enter the contest considering all your car work is awesome, I was gonna enter but me no have car modeling experience but perhaps next year and thanks for the tut.
The wheels look slightly like lego except rims (i do hate chrome rims)
dont like that color ever makes me think your driving a boiler looks like copper
