Home to the youngest qualifier for the 2019 Leonberger Club of America Top 20 Invitational Gala, Yvain Leonbergers is committed to: Preserving the past. Forging the future.™    

We purposefully breed to the history of the standard to preserve type, predictable temperament, and versatile working dog attributes.  

Integrated in our natural rearing approach, which combines modern science with holistic health care, we focus on puppy behavior and development by using the Puppy Culture® system.  Our desire to influence future generations through applied science as well as laying a solid foundation during the critical first ten weeks led to the decision to found Yvain Leonbergers.  

I cannot imagine my life without a dog in it.  From sitting on the porch with my favorite farm dog, Waggles, to snuggling with my favorite Leos, I have always loved the companionship of dogs.  Despite the fur to vacuum up, the spills to wipe up, the poop to pick up, those are all very small trade offs to the pure joy of partnering with a loving, loyal companion.
