Idel (Volga) is the Tatar name of the river where the city of Kazan is located. The electronic duo "Krapiva" appeared right here. Furthermore, 100 years ago, the same name had the melody, which has been preserved to this day thanks to a copper plate produced by the Kazan master of musical mechanisms Gilyazetdin Sayfullin. The guys from the Tatar label "Yummy Music" carefully digitized these records and gave them to electronic musicians from Tatarstan so that they "resurrected" these melodies after 100 years.
The Krapiva project involves 2 outstanding Kazan musicians — Dmitry Krapivin and Roman Alekseev, who have managed to work with a variety of genres during their career. This background allowed them to find their unique sound, which they represent in their debut single “Idel”.
