JAPAN (CBS) — Outlandish square watermelon, among other uniquely-shaped fruits, are gaining popularity in Japan.
The watermelons are placed inside a square crate so as they grow, the melons are formed into a square.Square watermelons are being sold in Japan’s supermarkets.
There is also a heart shaped crate that forms the growing melon into a heart.
