Cutter Dykstra's support means everything to Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
ET's Lauren Zima caught up with the 35-year-old actress at the Race to Erase MS Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Friday, where she opened up about her husband's unconditional love through her battle with multiple sclerosis.
"He's literally saved my life," Sigler shared. "He's the best human on the planet. He physically holds me up, emotionally, and he sort of taught me that, regardless of MS, who I really am.. He has really helped me realized that [MS] doesn't [define who you really are]."
Dykstra was by Sigler's side as she was honored with the Medal of Hope Award at the event, which the actress said "feels amazing."
"All of my friends are here, so I feel super lucky," she revealed. "I feel like tonight, more than anything, is an opportunity for me to tell my friends and family that [they] have really been such an integral part of my journey with MS, and supporting me and helping me every step of the way."

"It's an opportunity for me to say thank you. I'm so grateful. I wouldn't be standing here today if it wasn't for them, and the way they have fiercely protected me in every way that I've needed them," she continued. "So, more than anything, I feel really excited that I'm gonna get to do it."
Sigler, who revealed last year that she was diagnosed with MS when she was 20 years old, teared up while discussing how the disease has affected her.��
"We're not alone in this fight. I get it. I live it every day, and it's not always the easiest," she confessed. "But I'm doing it and I have a lot of hope. Events like this are what give us hope for a better future."
"I've been embraced with love and support, and I didn't realize that the MS community -- people are telling me, 'Oh, you're making us not feel so alone,'" she said. "I don't feel alone anymore."
