Haleigh Cummings' dad marries teen in backyard

WELAKA, FL (WFLX) - The father of 5-year old missing Haleigh Cummings, Ronald Cummings, married his teenage girlfriend Thursday. They tied the knot in Haleigh's great-grandmother's backyard.

The couple flew to New York for a short honeymoon, courtesy of the Today Show. The newlywed couple then appeared on the show Friday morning.

Haleigh's father was not involved in Thursday's search for her because of the wedding. More than 100 officers conducted another ground search for the little girl in areas not previously searched. Haleigh Cummings has been missing for one month.

Earlier this week, Ronald Cummings proposed to his 17-year old girlfriend, Misty Croslin at a Chili's restaurant.

Croslin was the last known person to see Haleigh alive.

Croslin told Channel 4 in Jacksonville that although some people may take the news of her and Cummings' engagement the wrong way, "everything is still about Haleigh".
