October 30, 1966. Cheri Jo Bates, 18-years-old, had be20en delivering some books to her college library in Riverside, CA, when the Zodiac cut her car's engine, tore out a fuse that cause a street light in the parking lot to go, snuck up behind Cheri, slitting her throat in such a savage manner that Cheri was nearly decapitated.

December 20, 1968. David Farady, 17-years-old, and Betty Lou Jensen, 16-years-old, were having their first date on Lake Herman Road, a well known lovers' lane in Benicia, CA, when the Zodiac approached their car, he shot Faraday once in the head, and, when Jensen ran, shot her five times in the back with his .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol. This was the first confirmed Zodiac killing.

July 4, 1969. Blue Rock Springs Park, Vallejo, CA. Michael Mageau, 19-years-old, and Darlene Ferrin, 22-years-old, were sitting in their car in a park, when Zodiac parked behind them, lights shining in through their back windshield, and went up to them, pointing a flashlight and gun at them. The duo thought that Zodiac was a police officer. That thought was shattered when Zodiac shot both of them multiple times. Zodiac then called the police using a payphone a block away from the Vallejo Police Department, reporting what he thought was his second double murder. He ended the chilling call with, "I also killed those kids last year. Goodbye." Luckily, unbeknownst to the Zodiac, Michael had survived and gotten medical attention, while, sadly, Darlene was pronounced dead on arrive to Kaiser Foundation Hospital.

September 27, 1969. Lake Berryessa, Napa County, CA. Bryan Hartnell, 20-years-old, and Cecilia Ann Shepard, 22-years-old, were having a picnic when the Zodiac approached them with a loaded gun, wearing his, now infamous, executioner style costume. He instructed Bryan to toss his car keys towards the killer, after giving a, likely false, story about being an escaped prisoner. He then instructed Cecilia to hogtie Bryan, then Zodiac hogtied Cecilia, making sure that Bryan's bindings were tight, then stabbed him eight times in the back, and Cecilia ten times. Zodiac then scribbled information, in pen, on the car door of Hartnell and Shepard, with his crosshair symbol above it. The information read, "Vallejo. 12-20-68. 7-4-69. Sept-27-69-6:30. By knife." Luckily, despite all odds, Bryan managed to survive, although Cecilia did not.

Presidio Heights, San Francisco, CA. Paul Stine, 29-years-old, had parked his taxi next to a street for the man in the back seat to get out. Sadly, Paul was sat in front of the Zodiac. Paul was shot in the head once. Zodiac stole money from Paul's wallet, got out, got in the passenger's seat, ripped off a piece of Paul's bloodstained shirt, got out again, and made his way from the scene. While on his way, he ran into two officers who were on their way to the Stine Murder. Sadly, after asking him a few questions, they let him go, due to dispatch saying the suspect was a black man. Sad to say, but late 60's, early 70's, rascism saved the Zodiac Killer.
