When one of the world’s most powerful apps undergoes a redesign, the Internet responds in the only way it knows how: by having a complete and utter meltdown. On Wednesday, Instagram debuted a new look and replaced its beloved Polaroid-like camera logo for an updated rainbow-gradient icon.

“The Instagram community has evolved over the past five years from a place to share filtered photos to so much more—a global community of interests sharing more than 80 million photos and videos every day,” Instagram’s blog post read. “Our updated look reflects how vibrant and diverse your storytelling has become.”
