The new A-Team movie starring Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copely and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as the iconic B.A. Baracus hits theaters June 11th. Early buzz on the film is extremely good and the cast even steamrolled down Hollywood Boulevard in a tank for its L.A. premiere to drive home the point that they were mostly likely riding on one of this season’s biggest blockbuster summer hits.
But all this hype just begs one question…what does the original B.A. Baracus— Mr. T think about A-Team, the movie?
Well, B.A. fans, the verdict is still out. Earlier this week, a WENN article quoted Mr. T describing the film incarnation of his hit 80s NBC series as being, “too graphic and different in spirit from the TV show. The quote went viral all over the web and got picked by lots of internet outlets. All this brouhaha prompted yet ‘another’ response from Mr. T, this time through his attorney so you know it must be the real thing.
A lawyer for the Rocky III star says, “Mr. T has not seen the film and did not make the comments attributed to him in several internet articles…at this time particularly because he has not seen the film he is not giving interviews on it.” Even in 2010, I pity the fool who misquotes Mr. T.—Ronke Idowu Reeves
