Catherine Zeta-Jones is done with apologizing. She’s over saying sorry. She will not be cowed by criticism! She is who she is—and that’s a stunning actress who married into an Old Hollywood family.

Zeta-Jones told British tabloid the Daily Mirror, well, several things. Let’s run through them methodologically. First: “One thing I’m not is humble anymore. I’m sick of being humble. I really am. ‘So sorry I’m rich, so sorry I’m married to a movie star, so sorry I’m not-so-bad-looking.’” Amen! Then: “No sorrys. Enough. All that is important to me now is my work.” Good! “That’s what I love, and the rest of my life is a joy because I’ve got two beautiful kids and a healthy, happy husband. It’s all good, and I’m not going to be humble for that either.” Great!

For a refresher, the Welsh actress married Michael Douglas in 2000, they had a son named Dylan who just graduated high school (congrats, Dylan!), and, in 2003, they had a second child, Carys. Zeta-Jones also won a best-supporting-actress Oscar for her role in Chicago. And she won’t apologize for any of it!

“What shaped me as an actor, more than anything, is getting older,” she continued. “I genuinely lost my mojo. I didn’t like it very much anymore. I was on a successful path, there wasn’t any crisis or anything. And I remembered how I started off so young and became successful, because I was fearless. There was no questioning, wondering what people would think.” Ah, the bold confidence of the young.

“Somewhere along the middle, I got frightened again and I started to question myself as an actor, my choices,” she said.

But now, having made an acclaimed comeback of sorts with roles on TV’s Feud and Cocaine Godmother, that fright seems to be long gone. Now she has a home collection, Casa Zeta-Jones, that she dedicates much of her Instagram to. Let’s hope she never apologizes for good taste, either.
