Mike Fisher's new job: Holding Carrie Underwood's purse
Mike Brehm, USA TODAY Sports
Center Mike Fisher's arrival from the Ottawa Senators in a 2011 trade was a marriage made for Nashville.
He was going to take the Nashville Predators to the next step in the playoffs and his wife, Carrie Underwood, was a country music star.
Underwood has made her share of appearances at Predators games and he has been equally supportive of her career. With NHL players locked out, he was by Underwood's side at Sunday's American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
And when she won for favorite country music album, Blown Away, his job was to hold her purse as she walked up onto the stage to accept the award.
Though he smirked a little at the camera, he was gracious afterward.
"Man I can hold a purse with the best of them!!" he tweeted.
