Top-15 Movement Highlights USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25

The USA Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25 has just one addition, but there was plenty of movement as several top teams faced off with impactful results. The top spot still belongs to St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) because of a perfect start. 

Beyond the Friars, however, none of the next 15 spots are the same as a week ago.

Episcopal (Pa.) dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten and fell several spots after a loss to four-loss Agnes Irwin (Pa.). In their stead, McDonogh (Md.) comes streaking up to the No. 2 spot, and Good Counsel (MD.) rises to third as an unbeaten and impressive squad fresh off handing a respectable Bishop Ireton (Va.) team its worst loss of the season.

IAAM Conference action always seems to impact teams, and St. Paul’s (Md.) regrouped from a tough loss to bounce back with an overtime win over Archbishop Spalding (Md.) to tighten things in the league and the rankings. Wilton (Conn.), which suffered its first loss at the hands of Rye (N.Y.), drops but is still in the Top 25.

Morristown (N.J.) is the one new team in the Top 25 this week. The Colonials have been unblemished against a lineup of Jersey contenders Haddonfield, West Morris Mendham, Mountain Lakes, Oak Knoll and Chatham. Summit still appears atop the Garden State, but Morristown is pushing the Hilltoppers. Summit faces the biggest games of the week with two of those Jersey powers and No. 1 St. Anthony’s on the docket.
