General

Pest anemone. Various colour morphs, looks like a small bubble tip anemone. If left unchecked they may reach plague proportions in the tank. Their sting is very potent and should be eradicated as soon as possible.

Control
Chemical

Joes Juice apply using a syringe.
Concentrated Kalkwasser cover the anemone with the paste
Inject with boiling water or lemon juice
Natural
Fish- Butterfly fish will eat them however not all are reef safe, Raccoon Butterflyfish, Klein's, Tinker's are safe in an SPS tank with caution. Tasselled Filefish (Acreichthys tomentosus) these fish are not coral safe and may pick on SPS, LPS, zoanthids and clams.
Corals with a powerful sting like Catalaphyllia can be used by brushing the coral over the Majano.
Physical
If you can remove the rock then application of hot soldering iron directly to the anemone or scraping the rock. However you must remove all traces of flesh as it will regenerate from the smallest fragment.

Note: Neither Berghia Verrucicornis or Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni) will eat this anemone.
