Unique rides and customer amenities will greet visitors to the 2009 Wade Shows midway at the 147th Wayne County Fair in Honesdale.

“Our goal from the beginning has been to provide the cleanest, safest, most customer friendly midway the fair has ever seen and to present our equipment in a unique park-like setting,” said Frank Zaitshik, owner of Wade Shows. Wade Shows managers will be preparing the design of an all-new midway with dozens of new features and innovations.

MORE RIDES, UNIQUE RIDES

The Wayne County Fair midway will be the best the fair has ever had, featuring large “state fair” type rides for the first time. The 110’ tall Giant Wheel is just one example of these attractions. This midway giant welcomes guests to the fair from high above the crowds and has an enormous rider capacity. That translates into short lines and more fun. Traveling on four trailers, the ride is usually only found at state fairs.

For the second time at the Wayne County Fair, the midway will have a large roller coaster. The “Wacky Worm” is a family-sized coaster that is thrilling enough for adults yet just tame enough for the youngsters to ride safely. This new addition to the family area, the Wacky Worm will make a great escape for young and old alike to the fair’s midway.

“We have worked very hard to assemble the greatest selection of rides ever presented for the Wayne County Fair,” said Zaitshik. “I believe fair guests will be very pleased with the selection we have put together, it rivals any county fair of its size in the country.”

AMENITIES

Each year, the Wade Shows, Inc. team has been hard at work designing a midway and amenities that will result in greater customer satisfaction through the presentation of a park-like atmosphere.

Guests visiting the midway will see rest areas to sit and relax during their stay at the fair, elaborate landscaping throughout the midway and customer amenities never seen here before. Flags, message signs and banners, uniformed, friendly employees and color coordinated canvas are some of the changes fair guests can expect to see.

With the addition of new, unique rides and all new amenities, the Wade Shows’ midway at the 147th Wayne County Fair, scheduled for August 7-15 and promises to be a fun-filled experience.

Among the rides planned this year are: Alpine Bobs, Berry Go Round, Circus Train, Crazy Submarine, Dragon Wagon, Giant Wheel, Jalopy Junction, Jumping Star, Kreepy Kastle, Lollipop Swings, Mardi Gras, Mega Drop, Merry-Go-Round, Orbiter, Ring of Fire, Scooter, Silver Streak, Super Slide, Tilt-A-Whirl, Umbrella Boats, Umbrella Cycles, Umbrella Sports Cars and the Wacky Worm Coaster. (Ride list subject to change at any time.)
