Mulroney is survived by his wife, Mila Mulroney, and four children including Caroline and Ben.

The family of the former Canada Prime Minister confirmed the news death of his death. “On behalf of my mother and our family, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of my father, the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Canada’s 18th prime minister. He died peacefully, surrounded by family,” Brian's daughter Caroline Mulroney wrote in a post on X.

Mulroney was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he underwent a heart procedure as well following his oncology treatment in 2023, according to the family. Meanwhile, the incumbent Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also shared his condolences to Mulroney's family on his demise.

Who Are Brian Mulroney's Wife Mila And Daughter Caroline Mulroney?

Born AS Milica Pivnički in a Serbian Orthodox family in 1953, Mila is known for playing a crucial role during her husband's tenure as the 18th Prime Minister of Canada. Other than previous spouses of Canadian prime ministers, Mila worked extensively for the cause of children's rights. Mila was also criticised for her lavish lifestyle including her spending habits.

The couple tied the knot in 1973 at the time Mila was aged 19. Brian was a 34-year-old lawyer involved with the affairs of Progressive Conservatives (PC) causes in Westmount. The couple has four children together including one daughter, Caroline, and three sons, Ben, Mark, and Nicolas.

Despite being a housemaker, Mila featured on many of the PC's campaigns and became a household name back then for her persona and the ideal image. So much so, that once Ontario Premier Bill Davis reportedly told Brian that, "Mila will get you more votes for you than you will for yourself."

Mila had over 100 pairs of shoes and made headlines for deciding to get the Prime Minister's office a lavish makeover.

Meanwhile, Caroline is a businesswoman, and politician who currently serves as the President of the Treasury Board of Ontario. She spent her time at 24 Sussex Drive from the age of 10 to 19. The 49-year-old attended Harvard before working as a financial analyst in the US.

Mulroney holds dual citizenship in both America and Canada. She is married to a former executive advisor at Blanstone Inc., Andrew Lapham. The couple has four children. Three of them were raised in Canada after the duo shifted to the country from New York in 2005.
