Islamabad: Ever imagined that you'd be taking tutorials on make-up from men? No, right? With Instagram becoming the space for everything trending, men across the world are breaking stereotypes that make-up is just for women. In the past year, a lot of make-up artists who are going viral on the social media have been men.

Men who showcase their talent with the eye-shadows, lipsticks, contour make-up among different other kinds glitz and glamour of the industry. One such man from Pakistan is breaking the internet with his Instagram profile, which is just a hidden gem from the small city Multan.

Shaheer Khan has been rocking the make-up scene and has been recognised by many international and local make-up brands and companies.

What inspired Shaheer Khan to start his own make-up tutorial?

In an interview to Pakistani local daily Dawn, he said that make-up was not something that he discovered after growing up. He said that when he was a child, he used to get fascinated by his mother's make-up. He used to "smear" his face with the blushes and apply lipsticks. "So make-up has been a part of me for my entire life," he was quoted saying. 

 

 

 

He told Dawn, it was not until he went to university he discovered Youtube tutorials on make-up. Till then, he treated make-up as just a hobby and he did not take it seriously. Later, a friend had gifted him a make-up kit on his birthday. 

He said he gets his strength from friends and family, who have not had any complications with their boy thinking of make-up as a career. He said that his parents were initially worried about his performance at college, but later "took a chance on him". 

He was quoted as saying, Everyone at university knows me as the make-up artist guy, so it's nothing that I am self-conscious about."
