Always fancied living in a castle, but can’t afford the (probably) seven-figure sum it would take to own one? Here’s your answer. Brimming with history, intrigue, fine period features and Atlantic views, two-bedroom South Flat is one of three flats contained within Craignish Castle, towards the tip of the Craignish peninsula on the windswept coast of Argyll.

Originally the seat of the Campbell family of Craignish and Jura, it was built as a tower house in the 16th century and in the 19th century sold to a Yorkshire family, the Trench-Gascoignes, who added a large extension. The castle was divided into flats in the 1950s.
