Gabriel Byrne and wife to bring new baby daughter on first trip to Ireland in coming weeks
The Irish actor is keen to introduce his little girl with second wife producer Hannah Beth King to family here, pals say
GABRIEL Byrne and his wife will bring their new baby daughter back home to Ireland in the coming weeks.
Pals say the patriotic actor is keen that the girl, born six weeks ago in New York to second wife producer Hannah Beth King, is introduced to his family here.
An insider said: “Gabriel remains connected to Ireland.
“His first two kids, Jack and Romy, come to Ireland a lot. He will want his new daughter to have the same relationship with his home country and hold an Irish passport.”
Any visit will take place behind closed doors as the actor is notoriously private. A picture of the family out walking on the streets of New York on St Patrick’s Day was snapped by paparazzi.
The source added: “There will be no photoshoot.
“Unlike other attention-seeking celebrities, Gabriel won’t see the arrival of this child as a commodity. Gabriel is a breath of fresh air in that regard, in that he never seeks publicity.”
The 66-year-old star and his wife are tipped to have a humanist ‘naming’ ceremony for their daughter in Ireland.
