Ewan McGregor’s estranged wife found star’s speech at the Golden Globes ‘upsetting’
FILM star Ewan McGregor’s estranged wife has told how his award speech left her feeling upset this week – when he thanked her and his new lover.
Eve McGregor, 51, spoke out after the Star Wars actor’s acceptance speech last weekend – where he won a Golden Globe for his role in TV show Fargo.
The Scot, 46, thanked his wife – before also mentioning co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, with whom he got together when they began filming the show.
He said: “I want to take a moment to just say thank you to Eve, who always stood by me for 22 years. And my four children, I love you.”
He left Eve in June for rising star Mary, 33.
Eve, recuperating from a knee operation in LA, told The Sun On Sunday she had seen Ewan’s speech.
