TAMPA | Debra Lafave's probation will end four years early, a judge decided today.

Now a new mother of twins, the former Greco Middle School teacher pleaded guilty in 2004 to having sex with a 14-year-old boy.

She avoided prison and instead was sentenced to three years of house arrest and seven years of probation.

The ruling today also means she no longer must observe a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, and can travel anywhere outside the area.

The victim, now 21, did not appear in court but his sister did. She said he is still undergoing psychiatric care.

Lafave is engaged and living with her fiancee and is a new mother of twins.

The babies were born prematurely about five weeks ago.
