This home is a gem. Just the right size, location, and setting. The Hall’s Harbour area was a nice surprise, and we enjoyed the sunsets, hikes, and local wineries. The jacuzzi was a special bonus too. Melissa was very helpful with good tips and resources for us to use when exploring our Acadian heritage.
The place was amazing! The location you can’t beat if you’re wanting amazing views and local food. We had such a great vacation here! We loved everything about the house (especially the hotub and outside area) and the proximity to the ocean and beach.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hideaway! It was quaint and in a stunning location. Melissa and Charles were excellent hosts, and were willing to do anything to make our stay even better. We loved the view of the ocean and going for walks on the rocks. We loved the character within the house and the fireplace in the living room, not to mention the hot tub in the back! Would highly recommend this spot!
The house is impeccable! What a beautiful space in a gorgeous setting. The bed was so comfortable and I slept like a baby. Everything I needed was right here, all the details were covered. Wow, all the little things (speaker in the bathroom!?) added to my enjoyment. I can’t wait to come back and share this beauty with my family.
Melissa’s home had everything we need. It's a great place to decompress and just relax. Melissa was great providing us all the details prior to us arriving and was quick to respond to any questions. The home is combination of modern and rustic. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook fantastic meals with a large kitchen table. We enjoyed our mornings on the deck and evenings on the beach with a fire. Beautiful sunsets during our stay. If you like sea food, local restaurant was great. You’re only short drive to Kentville for supplies. If you like hiking you are not far from Cape Split. We will be back again for sure. Cheers.
The Hideaway at Halls Harbour is just over an hour from Halifax airport, overlooking the Bay of Fundy. The wee harbour is one of the last working lobster wharfs, complete with the lobster pound restaurant right in the harbour. Tourists are drawn to this picturesque seaside harbour for the dramatic tides, and quintessential Nova Scotia experience. Halls Harbour has a quiet charm with that authentic down home feel.
In our home, you will find a modern twist on the old. We maintained that classic Nova Scotia charm by emphasizing the original character (complete with square nails), and vintage door, but updated the space with a modern bathroom, in-laid Bluetooth speakers, and perks like a dishwasher & washer/dryer.
The ocean is right out front, putting on sunset displays nightly, and lulling you to sleep with the sounds of the surf.
This 3 bedroom home is situated on a waterfront road, on the inside of the road (“one-back”), giving exceptional sunsets out over the water visible from the house and from the beach out front. The small roadway houses cottages and year-round homes.
This traditional house enhances the original features such as hand hewn ceiling beams, original wooden floor boards (complete with square nails), and decor selected to blend modern conveniences with that traditional Nova Scotia feel.
The house experiences beautiful ocean breezes, which make for comfortable temperatures during summer heat, requiring no AC. Proximity to the Bay of Fundy brings with it cooler summer temperatures for refreshing seaside relief from hot summers. On a typical day, the only noise you hear is the sounds of the ocean.
The Hideaway at Halls Harbour is ideally suited for up to 6 people, and was laid out with a family of 4 children in mind. It works well for large families, providing 4 single beds, as well as the queen bed in the master bedroom.
While away from home, we wish to provide the luxuries we are all used to such as in-home laundry, unlimited internet (no TV), modern bathroom, dishwasher, and luxurious bedding.
