WTA Guadalajara: Victoria Azarenka beats Keys to bring Sabalenka and Kasatkina to WTA Finals

Victoria Azarenka beat Madison Keys at the WTA 1000 tournament in Guadalajara and reached the quarterfinals. Aryna Sabalenka and Daria Kasatkina are thus qualified for the WTA Finals.

Azarenka won 6: 4, 6: 7 (4), 6: 1 - although she had already served twice to win the match in the second round. In the end, however, she still won and took Madison Keys out of the running for the WTA Finals in Fort Worth (from October 31st).

Aryna Sabalenka and Daria Kasatkina (both eliminated in Guadalajara) are sure to be in the WTA Finals.

They join the already qualified Iga Swiatek, Ons Jabeur, Jessica Pegula, Cori Gauff and Caroline Garia .

One place is still free - Maria Sakkari and Veronika Kudermetova have a chance: The two will play against each other in Guadalajara today, the winner will grab eighth place. Sakkari eliminated Danielle Collins by beating Danielle Collins.

Stephens comes back against Garcia

Sloane Stephens also celebrated a fine victory in Guadalajara, who made up for a 2-5 set deficit against Caroline Garcia and then a 0-5 and 3-6 in the tie-break. In the end she won 7:6 (5), 7:5.

Also ahead: Marie Bouzkova, Cori Gauff and Pegula, who won 6-4, 6-4 against Bianca Andreescu.
