Teenager Donna Vekic reached her first WTA final after coming through a three-set battle against Eva Birnerova at the Tashkent Open.
The Croatian 16-year-old, who has won three International Tennis Federation titles, proved too strong for 28-year-old Czech player Birnerova, winning 6-1 3-6 6-1 in their semi-final.
Vekic, who earned her place in the Uzbekistan tournament by coming through the qualifying stage is coached by Englishman David Felgate, who oversaw a large part of Tim Henman's career.
She will now face Irina-Camelia Begu in the final on Saturday after the Romanian upset Polish second seed Urszula Radwanska.
The 87th-ranked Begu defeated world number 40 Radwanska - who was seeking her first WTA singles title - 6-3 6-3 .
