"Rouge" by James Coignard. This fantastic original Carborundum Etching is now for sell. It is offered to you by the famous parisian etching studio PASNIC. The etching is 56 x 38 cm, Original, limited and rare collection. It is signed. To tell you a little more about PASNIC: The studio has been created in 1978 by Nicolas and Pascal, inspired by Henry Goetz who created a new etching technique (carborundum etching). With the precious help of James Coignard and Max Papart, Nicolas and Pascal have developped a famous and creative studio where many artists are now creating some of their best work. They are now hosting artists such as Tello, Herve Di Rosa, Michel Haas, Brisson, Renard, Segui and many more! Until now, PASNIC is the main and most notorious ecthing workshop in Paris. About James Coignard (born in Tours in 1925): He was a painter, ceramist, sculptor and etcher. His collaboration with gallery Hervieu made him known in artistic circles, nationally and internationally. In 1949, he exhibits his art along side Braque, Matisse and Chagall in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. At the begining of the sixties, he started to work with glass but the technical turning point occured in 1968 when his friend Henri Goetz discovered a new etching technique, using carborundum. Etching then became central in his work. At the same time, his career took off internationally. He travels a lot, especially to Sweden and USA where he lives during a few years. In1978, James Coignard participates in the creation of the etching studio Pasnic, with which he starts a long collaboration. He exhibits now all over the world, and is acknowledged as one of the greatest painter-etchers of his time. We are selling this beautiful piece of art at a very fair price. As the etching was created in the PASNIC walls, and that we are selling on behalf of PASNIC, no commission by third parties are added to the price. The postage cost include shipping over the UK or worldwide and is insured. The International postage option is for destination such as USA, Canada and Asia. For European destinations, the price wil decrease, just contact me to know the postage cost (Please note that I will not be able to send any etching from 28/07 till 01/08 as I will not be in the country).
