      Season 9 – RuPaul's Drag Race

      2017 Reality List
100% 11 Reviews Tomatometer 79% 50+ Ratings Audience Score "RuPaul's Drag Race" is a reality show in which a group of talented drag queens compete in challenges to impress host RuPaul, the world's most famous drag queen, to win a cash prize along with a crown and the title of America's Next Drag Superstar. Each episode consists of a main challenge, usually some form of performance or fashion design -- sometimes both. The queens then participate in a themed runway show, where one is declared the winner of that week, while two others are announced to be up for elimination. The bottom two must then compete to stay on the show with a lip-sync for their lives. Read More Read Less Watch on Fandango at Home Premiered Apr 29 Buy Now

      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

RuPaul's Drag Race mixes it up to highlight the show's beautiful core, which lies in the artistry of drag, the unique drama of the queens, an awful lot of self-empowerment... and, of course, Lady Gaga.

Audience Member Some good moments but overall just another run of the mill season with not much real competition with the wrong queen winning Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member In my opinion, the season was really PERFECT from the cast, the judges, the concept, the drama and also the lip-sync. It was really entertaining to watch this season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The Queens this season were great, fun, catchphrases galore, and some actually good runway challenges this season, however the blatent favortism towards Eureka and Aquaria made it hard to watch favorably. It wasn't a great season, but this was one of the more memorable cast in a long time.
