Melanie McFarland Seattle Post-Intelligencer Gilmore Girls, in spite of its undercurrent of tension and occasional eruptions of tears and anger, has always been a quickstep of spunk and wry laughs. The premiere gushes both, but there's a bitter sadness permeating [Lauren] Graham's performance. Mar 6, 2019 Full Review Gwen Ihnat AV Club Lauren Graham should just get a bizillion post-show Emmys. Sep 20, 2018 Full Review Jae-Ha Kim Jae-Ha Kim By the end of the season, one of the characters will get married, another will have an affair, and a third will have a dalliance with an ex-boyfriend. But the relationship between Lorelai and Rory remains strong. And that’s what keeps viewers watching. Rated: 3/4 Jul 29, 2023 Full Review Scott D. Pierce Deseret News (Salt Lake City) At the risk of repeating myself, "Gilmore Girls" is one of the best things on TV. Still. Mar 9, 2020 Full Review Travis Fickett IGN Movies Some may feel the "splitting up" of the Gilmore Girls hurt the show, but may find it more agreeable when the season is taken in as a whole. Rated: 8/10 Mar 9, 2020 Full Review Elisabeth Donnelly Boston Phoenix Gilmore Girls is taking a gratifying run at young-adult confusion through Rory's missteps. Smart girls flounder too.
