Fiona pinnata (Eschscholtz, 1831)
Fiona pinnata is a small pelagic nudibranch in the superfamily Fionoidea. This species lives worldwide on floating objects on seas, and feeds mainly on barnacles, specifically goose barnacles in the genus Lepas.
It can also eat cnidarians Velella velella and Porpita porpita. The colour of the digestive gland in the cerata changes to bright blue when the animal feeds on Velella.
It is currently the only named member of the genus Fiona.
