Internationally acclaimed architect Kerry Hill has designed a new multimillion-dollar home on Hayman Island and it comes with a furniture package and two buggies.

Located in the exclusive Hayman Estates, the $12 million dollar four-bedroom, four-bathroom property has already attracted interest from local, interstate and international buyers keen to live in paradise.

Perched on a 3301sq m block, the buyer will have access to private chefs and domestic staff from the nearby Intercontinental Hayman Island resort.

Hill, who died last year, designed the home with a large kitchen that can be concealed, leading onto an open plan living and dining space, which flows onto an expansive outdoor terrace and heat regulated infinity pool.

Queensland Sotheby’s International selling agent Carol Carter said the property was one of only six private homes on the tropical island jewel of Hayman Island, developed by Malaysian-backed group Mulpha.

Ms Carter said two homes were purpose-built in 2009.

“Those owners chose to buy the land and engage Kerry Hill to custom design and oversee the build,” Ms Carter said.

“They took three years to build and were in the range of $20 million. These are very substantial luxurious residences”.

Ms Carter is no stranger to selling multimillion-dollar mansions in The Whitsundays.

She has sold properties with $13 million and $14 million price tags.

“There has been a real market for luxury homes and it’s increasing,” Ms Carter said.

“A lot of people are retiring now and they want to buy something their families can benefit by.

There is also a lock-up garage to house two golf buggies, a large storage area, laundry and powder room.

“His name is synonymous with impeccable design,” Mr Hughes said.

“Every detail has been considered, and beautifully executed, and the property is a fitting homage to his outstanding work.”
