    Features

This weird and wonderful fern is exploding with personality! Foxtail fern looks just like it sounds, though it’s not a true fern at all. Bushy, tubular-shaped fronds are densely packed with bright green, needle-like leaves and extend in all directions from a dense crown. They weave their way in and out of other plants in container recipes, but also look fabulous planted on their own in containers and in the landscape. Tiny white flowers appear occasionally among the pointy leaves where short spines are also hiding. This deer and rabbit resistant, tender evergreen fern will overwinter in the warmest climates but is most commonly grown as an annual for container plantings.
