This is it, folks: Capcom has made an official, wearable Mega Man helmet

Capcom will be showing, and selling, many items at San Diego Comic Con, but this is likely going to be the biggest deal among them: An official, wearable Mega Man helmet.

"There have been many attempts at creating a wearable Mega Man helmet over the years, but it's never been made officially," the post on the Capcom blog stated.

"Made of high quality ABS plastic with a high polish finish, authentic proportions and details, plus working LED lights! A unique clamshell hinge allows the front and back half of the helmet to easily open up to comfortably fit your head inside the soft padded interior for a perfect fit."

It's made to be worn or displayed, for people with the self-control required not to put it on and keep it there 24 hours a day.

"This is a high quality replica of the Blue Bomber's helmet —perfect for display in home or office, but it also doubles as the ultimate role play accessory!" Capcom said. "Comes shipped in a decorated box suitable for displaying your helmet when not in use. The perfect addition to those that already purchased the full-size working, sold-out Mega Man Buster from Think Geek last year!"

The item will be displayed at the San Diego Comic Con, but you'll have to pay attention to Capcom's store for "a limited time Pre-Order opportunity." No mention of price yet, but our guess is "what people are willing to pay," and that's going to be quite a lot.
