Country singer Kellie Pickler to perform in Uptown Normal

NORMAL — Country music star Kellie Pickler has been tabbed to headline the 22nd American Red Cross Evening of Stars in April.

Pickler, who gained stardom as a 19-year-old contestant on “American Idol,” will have a live performance and interact with the audience at the annual event April 15 at the Marriott Hotel in Uptown Normal.

Tickets for the event cost $150 and will go on sale in mid-February. To reserve tickets, call the American Red Cross of the Heartland at 662-0500.

Previous headliners for the Evening of Stars include Regis Philbin, Dick Vitale, Peyton Manning and former Senator Bob Dole.
