Jackie O Henderson reveals her secret to looking youthful at 49-years-old

Jackie O Henderson has spilled her non-cosmetic secret to looking youthful after celebrating her 49th birthday.

The well-known radio host revealed her secret to looking young was all about being happy and positive.

“I’m a smoker of all things and I haven’t really looked after my body over the years,” she told Daily Mail Australia at Luke McLeod’s Everyday Enlightenment book launch on Thursday night.

“But I’ve always been a very, positive kind of person and generally happy. I couldn’t attribute (my youthful looks) to anything else, to be honest.”

The 49-year-old also said meditation has helped her reduce stress levels in recent years.

“I think that meditation for sure gets you to a much calmer, joyful place in your life and that alleviates a lot of stress,” she said.

“And as we know, stress is the number one factor for ageing and health problems in general. So I’m a big believer in meditation.”

Another topic spoken about on the night was how desperate Henderson was to find true love following her divorce from husband Lee in 2018.

She mentioned she had caught up with McLeod last year where they got talking about her love life and how she was “missing” having a man around.

“I just really want to find someone. I can’t find him and I’m sort of a bit lost at the moment,” she said.

“I have a lot of love to give or I want that affection, that company. It just feels like there’s something missing in my life.”

Maybe this year will be the year of love for the radio queen, but either way Henderson is “grateful” for where she is in her life right now.

“I’ve had a wonderful life and I really appreciate what I do have in my life. I’m grateful that I’ve lived 50 years and so I’m not afraid of it at all,” she said.

“I’m happy to embrace it as every decade brings something new.”

Henderson was first married to DJ ‘Ugly’ Phil O’Neil in the late 90s before finding love with Lee, who she shares her daughter Kitty with.
